JAMMU, Apr 1: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi today said that Congress can’t disown statement of National Conference (NC) leader and contestant from Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency, Akbar Lone in which he repeatedly uttered Pakistan Zindabad and tried not only to justify it but took pride in making the anti-national statement.
In Assembly also Lone raised such slogans in response to Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogan by Bharatiya Janata Party legislators, Sethi said. As NC is supporting Congress candidates openly and People Democratic Party (PDP) is also doing same though tactically so Congress has to share responsibility of statements made by leaders of these political parties as they are presenting United Front against nationalistic ideology of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he added.
BJP State Chief Spokesperson said in a statement that people of Jammu region have to take serious and conscious decision whether they will like to vote and stand with Congress who is sitting in lap of NC whose leaders are openly siding with Pakistan despite the fact that Pakistan is responsible for bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir where thousands of innocents have lost their lives because of militancy let loose by Pak agencies.
He said that patriotic people of Jammu will never go for a dispensation which is Pak supportive as NC and PPDP are. He said leaders of PDP are also making deliberate statements in support of militants and separatists. Congress can’t hide behind false propaganda that it is not responsible for statements of NC and PDP despite taking their support and standing on their clutches, he added.
Sethi said that people of State especially Jammu have deep patriotic feelings and are extremely proud of offensive of Modi Government on militants and their hideouts and training camps in Pakistan and occupied J&K and Congress has dug it’s own political grave by aiding with forces inimical to national interests and defence forces. He called upon Jammuites to vote for Party which stands to strengthen India and reject parties and groups which desired to weaken national interests.
