KISHTWAR, May 17: A meeting of Congress activists was held here today in which the people of erstwhile Doda district were complimented for showing their total solidarity with the Party during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting, which was chaired by Shamsher Singh Bhandari a local Congress leader asked the Party workers not to feel demoralized and work with more dedication for the development of erstwhile Doda district and take the policies and programmes of the Party to every nook and corner.
The meeting said that victory and defeat are two faces of democracy and every political party should be ready for the same. It said that the Party will overcome its short comings and rededicate itself in the services of people.
Farooq Ahmed Tapal and Tilak Raj Shan were among other Congress activists who addressed the meeting.
