Confederation takes serious exception to CM’s statement

JAMMU, Apr 4: All India Confederation of SC, ST, OBC Organizations has criticized the statement of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah who has said that Paharis will get the ST status before Assembly elections.
Terming the statement as misleading, the chairman of the Confederation, R K Kalsotra said that it was a total violation of Model Code of Conduct and this way Omar Abdullah was inviting trouble not only for himself but the candidates of Congress Party contesting elections from Jammu -Poonch and Kathua -Doda Lok Sabha seats.
He while taking a serious exception to the statement termed it a vote politics of the coalition to induce the voters of a particular section of society. This way the coalition was fully exposed.
Kalsotra said since Omar Abdullah took over the weaker sections were deprived of their rights, denied reservation to them in services on adhoc as well as contractual basis, denied 27 percent reservations to OBC besides deprived the weaker sections of their other rights which will not be tolerated.
He said Confederation will launch a State wide campaigning against the ruling alliance and its anti weaker section policies.
