JAMMU, June 19: All India Confederation of SC ST OBC Organisations held zoom rally.
The rally was convened by RK Kalsotra, President of the Confederation. The rally was held on Zoom, an online platform, to maintain the rules of social distancing.
The online rally was flagged off by National Chairman of Confederation, Dr Udit Raj from the headquarters in New Delhi. Members from J&K joined the trial run for the National Zoom Rally which is scheduled on 21 June, 2020. Similarly, virtual rallies were held with other states too.
Dr Udit Raj, National Chairman Confederation, said that the rally was a successful trial in all districts of J&K and Ladakh. He said that the digital platforms are the future and we all should get online as these platforms do not discriminate. The Government is pushing relentlessly for privatisation, judiciary is diluting the framework of reservation. Thus, we need to carry on these rallies rigorously in order to save reservation.
RK Kalsotra, President highlighted the agenda of the rally and said that the main purpose of the National Rally is to apprise the Government and the Supreme Court about the grievances of the SC/ST/OBCs of the country.
RK Kalsotra asked PM Modi to address an open letter to the judiciary to redress the grievances of SC/ST/OBCs, otherwise, it would be understood that the executive and judiciary are working in synergy to dilute the fundamental rights of SC/ST/OBCs.
Kalsotra also asked the masses to join the National Rally to be held on 21st June.
