This is the season of examinations. Elaborate and foolproof arrangements are made by the board authorities and district administration to conduct these exams in a transparent and fair manner. But even with all these arrangements mass copying takes place.
After all why does all this happen? It is solely due to the dereliction of duty of police personnel, examination staff and even board authorities. There happens to be a nexus among these agencies. There is a huge loss of finance and wastage of time when sometimes re examination takes place when there are reports of mass copying. If teachers these masters and lecturers are not in a position to control the leakage and manage the affairs of examination, who the angels will decend from heavens to do so? The examination staff has to show full vigor, honesty, integrity, discipline and their credentials in conducting the examinations fairly and squarely. Sometime back the work of conduct of examination was assigned to police department but the plan ended in an utter failure. Recently, I have come to know that the superintendents of various examination centers have to get the question paper from the nearby police stations which puts a question mark on the honesty, intergrity and capability of superintendents. This practice may be one of the reasons for the poor performance in examination centers. The board authorities are requested to ensure that exams are conducted in a fair manner so that the career of hardworking students does not get affected.
