Parliament in poor light

Sir,
Even after the independence of 69 years, our parliamentary democracy seems to be in its infancy. Worrying thing that has surprised and annoyed the nation in the uncertain behaviour of our elected representatives. Thanks to Television channels for their live telecast of Parliament session giving the whole nation a chance to see elected representatives using unparliamentary language, creating unnecessary hurdles and not allowing others to express their view points. The members are seen crying, taunting and threatening each other and not following any code of conduct. The Parliament in session proves to be a fish market.
The most shocking aspect has been that noticed during the proceedings is the helplessness of the Speaker. It is noticed that during the proceedings the speaker is not being obeyed duly. Her rulings and instructions are negated and some times not heeded at all. It pains one much when the Speaker has to appeal to members to sit down but all in vain. This kind of indiscipline in Parliament gives wrong signal to the outside world regarding our democratic maturity. Unfortunately, main burning issues are discussed on the roads, in the streets and on various TV channels throwing the Parliament in the back ground. It needs to be changed.
Yours etc…
