Conductor killed, driver injured as truck turns turtle

RAMBAN, Nov 16: One person died, while one another got injured, when the LP truck they were traveling in, skidded off the road and turned turtle near Nachlana area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number PB13AB-9025 loaded with apple boxes was on its way to Punjab from Srinagar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle near Nachlana area of tehsil Banihal. The accident took place due to negligent driving.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the driver and conductor of the vehicle to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where the conductor of the vehicle failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Yougraj Singh, son of Bhagat Ram, a resident of Punjab, whileas the injured has been identified as Iresh Deep Singh, son of Ajeet Singh of Punjab.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Ramsoo police station and investigations started.
