Conduct DPC in Excise and Commercial Taxes Deptt

It is requested to the Commissioner Secretary to the Government Finance Department to conduct Departmental Promotion Committee meet in Excise and Taxation Department. It is pertinent to mention that the DPC in respect of ETO/CTO and Inspectors to Sub-Inspectors is pending for the last many years. As a result of delay in the conduct of DPC, there is stagnation and frustration in each cadre of employees of Excise and Commercial Taxes Department. Further promotions of ETO, CTO, Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors are pending and delayed as a result of which many capable and eligible officers are waiting for their induction in KAS Cadre. In this connection, it may please be noted that with the introduction of G.S.T. all these employees had to work day and night for successful implementation of new scheme. As the work force of the Department of Excise and Taxation comes under skilled class no incentives are given to them in service conditions and welfare measures. The Sub-Inspectors of Excise gets twenty thousand less pay than a Sub-Inspectors of Police Department when both are placed in similar conditions with uniform and uncounted duty hours. All these pay discriminations should be removed immediately in order to infuse further encouragement in the work force. All the DPCs should be regularly held and detailed report on stagnation be sought where a 2002 batch Inspector is still  in the same pay scale? It is an established law of nature that in order to get best results you should provide better working conditions. So the Government is requested to address the long pending genuine grievances of employees of Excise and Commercial Taxes for conduct of early DPC and removal of Pay Anamolies of Sub-Inspector Cadre of this Department at an earliest.

Regularise school cooks
This is to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the fact that the cooks working in Ramban schools be regularised without further delay. These cooks have been working for last 10 years and deserve to be regularized. In case that did not happen, it will be great injustice with them.
Hope, the authorities will take action in the matter at the earliest.

Fill pot-holes on Ambphalla-Bantalab road
This is to draw the attention of the JMC authorities that the road from Ambphalla to Bantalab has developed several pot-holes which are quite dangerous, and can cause any untoward incident anytime. Therefore, it is requested that these pot-holes be filled to ensure safe driving especially during evening hours and rainy days. These pot-holes are also responsible for frequent traffic jams on this  ever busy road.
Will the JMC authorities wake up to the situation at the earliest.?
