Condolences continue to pour in over CM’s demise

JAMMU, Jan 8: Condolences from various organizations continued to pour in over the demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Director General of Police (DGP), K Rajendra Kumar expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in a condolence meeting held at Police Control Room (PCR) Srinagar. The meeting was attended by all senior police officers including Additional Directors General of Police from all wings of JKP. Rajendra, on behalf of JKP expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Northern Command, Army Commander, Lieutenant General DS Hooda expressed grief over the demise of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. He said contribution of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to Jammu and Kashmir through long years of public service will always be remembered. Lieutenant General DS Hooda conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Kashmiri Pandit Sabha Jammu condoled the sad demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, in a meeting of its executive members. While speaking, KK Khosa, president of the Sabha recalled the exemplary role played by him in formation of the Government in partnership with the BJP in order to honour the mandate of the people of the State. The members prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss.
Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Mohammad Mahmood Ali, met Member Parliament and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, at her residence and conveyed condolence on the demise of her father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. He also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty to grant the departed soul place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
Greater Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (GJCMS) J&K in a  meeting of the Executive Committee held under the Chairmanship of Jugal Mahajan, Chief Patron and SP Langer President expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow on the sad demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed. The participants prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
A condolence meeting was held at Agriculture Complex Lal Mandi by Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi for condoling the sad demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Agriculture fraternity expressed their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust and Dogra Group of Educational Institutions Gulchain Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust Samar Dev Singh Charak, Director Adm SC Khajuria, Director Dogra Law College Prof KL Bhatia, Principals of Dogra College of Education and Dogra Degree College, staff and students expressed heartfelt grief on the sad demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
A condolence meeting of all the officers and officials of Health Department was held under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, Jammu Province to condole the sad and untimely demise of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Dr BS Pathania, Director Health Services, Sushil Sudan, president of the Federation, officers and officials observed two minutes silence to pay homage and prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. The Udhampur unit of the Federation also held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Dheeraj Sharma and condoled the sad demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
A condolence meeting was held at J&K Cultural Academy Sub Office Rajouri where Cultural Officer Dr Alamdar Adam along with Chairman of Tribal Welfare Society Prof MK Waqar and other prominent writers, artists and poets of Pir Panjal region condoled the demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.

A meeting of executive body of Kashmir Sikh Displaced Forum, Jammu was held under the presidentship of Prof Gunwant Singh. During the meeting, the participants condoled the demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Randhir Singh Bali, general secretary of the forum and Charan Singh Bali, Chairman, threw light over the life of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
J&K Regional Branch of Indian Institute of Public Administration held a meeting under the chairmanship of its Patron Dr Ashok Bhan. In the meeting, the participants mourned the death of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.

University of Kashmir mourned the demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who was also the University’s Pro-Chancellor. Vice-Chancellor Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi chaired a condolence meeting which was attended by teaching and non-teaching staff of the University. Prof Andrabi paid rich tributes to Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and recalled his decisions, concerns, and efforts for the growth and development of J&K in general and the University of Kashmir in particular.
