JAMMU, Mar 2: The statement of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that Pakistan, Hurriyat and Separatist leaders played a key role for the smooth conduct of the elections in Jammu and Kashmir has been condemned widely by various organizations.
On the statement of Chief Minister, Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party described such a statement by a BJP-sponsored Chief Minister as highly mischievous, which gives an undesirable message to the people of J&K as if entire J&K is living on the mercy of Pakistan Government, terrorists and the so-called Hurriyat Party. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi owes the responsibility for such remarks as Mr Modi represents a coalition Government with his party (BJP) and therefore the Prime Minister cannot absolve himself from the smokes unleashed all over the country because of such anti-national utterances by a BJP supported Chief Minister and that too in a highly sensitive State like J&K. Prof Bhim Singh appealed to the political parties and the civil society to take up the matter at all levels and platforms to expose the conspiracy against the enemy agents inside and outside the country.
Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) led by its president Sunil Dimple held protest against the statement of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. During protest, large number of people participated and raised slogans against Chief Minister. Khajuria said that real credit for conduct of smooth and peaceful elections goes to the belt forces and the Election Commission of India. He termed Common Minimum Programme as a time killing document as it lacks transparency, commitment and time limit for solution of controversial issues like Article 370, AFSPA, West Pak Refugees and Delimitation Commission.
Protest demonstration against PDP-BJP collision Government was organized by Congress Youth Leader and INTUC State secretary Sumeet Magotra, in which large number of Congress party activists took part at Dhar Road, district Udhampur. Congress activists tying black ribbons blocked Dhar Road for vehicular movement and raised slogans against the collision Government. While speaking, Sumeet Magotra condemned the statement of CM.
Jammu Pradesh United Front (JPUF) spokesman and core members Krishan Singh said that the remarks of the recently sworn CM has sparked controversy all across the country but  the criminal silence of the BJP on the issue is more detrimental to the interests of the people of Jammu region. He said that the people of Jammu Pradesh were shocked to see their legislators and Ministers mum over statement of Chief Minister. Gagan Pratap Singh, activist of the Front expressed his dismay over the published ‘Agenda of Governance’ which has only excluded the promises and assurances given by the BJP ahead of Assembly elections.
Senior Youth Congress leader Chetan Wanchoo urged Mufti Sayeed for his resignation, to withdraw his statement and apologize for such anti national statement, underestimating the power of the great Nation India, army, security forces, Election Commission of India, Police and the nationalist people of the State. “We want a nationalist Chief Minister of the State and I question Narendra Modi to clear his stand on Mufti’s anti-national statement”, he added.
