KISHTWAR, June 26: Expressing grave concern over water scarcity in Kishtwar town and rural areas of district, the Civil Society Kishtwar in a meeting today urged the Government to take immediate steps in solving the problem.
Addressing the meeting Shamsher Singh Bhandari and Farooq Ahmed Tapal the members of the civil society said that people in Kishtwar are facing grave problem due to water scarcity and the authorities at the helm of affairs are ignoring the problem.
They said that callousness of the authorities of PHE Department in solving the problem despite the fact that water being an essential necessity of life has generated a lot of public resentment in the area.
The Civil Society members have sought immediate attention of the Chief Engineer, PHE towards the problem so that the people may not suffer any more.
