JAMMU, Aug 21: BJP leader and former Corporator Omi Khajuria has expressed graver concern over the water scarcity in Barnai and adjoining localities.
In a statement issued here, today he said that the tubewell at Dharmal which has developed a snag over three days back has not been restored till date hitting the water supply in the area. He said even on the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan people remained deprived of water supply in various localities, he added.
In an appeal to the PHE authorities as well as PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Minister, Sham Lal Sharma he urged them to look into the matter and restore water supply to the area failing which the people will come to streets.
