JAMMU, Aug 21: Expressing serious concern over damage caused due to incessant rains and consequent flash floods in Reasi district, senior Congress leader and MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma has demanded proper rescue and relief for the affected people.
Sharma said that Government should constitute a team to access the extent of damage caused by floods and the heavy downpour in Reasi and its peripheries while arrangements should be made on war footing to provide immediate relief to the affected people.
The MLC said that the flash floods have affected not only the crops but also the houses and property of the people. Mostly the poor people have been affected by the flash floods and rains and Government should support them till they are properly settled, he added.
