JAMMU, Mar 21: A meeting of the members of Christian community was held under the chairmanship of Bishop N M Nisar and Rev Issac Bhatti, today.
The meeting expressed concern over the recent attacks on the Christians in different parts of country including shameful acts of rape with an old aged nun. They strongly condemned these brutal acts which are being done to harass the Christian minority in India and create hatred among different communities and defame the democratic face of India.
It was resolved in the meeting and an urgent appeal was made to State Government that Christian minority community may be given political representation in the Legislature.
Other prominent members present in the meeting were Pastor Robin Bhatti, Pastor Younas, Pastor Stephen David, S M Gill, Pastor Antony Teli, Asif Gill, Pastor Fartas Mattoo, Pastor Stonius, Pastor Paulos, Comves David and Titus.
