Comprehensive package for J&K expected soon: DyCM

SRINAGAR, Sept 16: Kashmir Civil Society Forum today called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh here today and raised certain vital issues of public importance for the consideration of the Government.
Minister for Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari and Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Imran Raza Ansari was also present on the occasion.
The delegation included Dr. Shujaat Bukhari, Dr. Mubeen Shah, Umar Trumboo, Sheikh Ashiq, Yasin Khan, Shuja-ul–Haq and others.
The issues raised by the delegation included the construction of a new paediatric hospital for the Kashmir division which would cater to other areas including Leh and Kargil.
The delegation also flagged the issue of compensation to be provided to the flood victims of the State.
While interacting with the delegation, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he would take up the issue of construction of the new paediatric hospital in Kashmir with the Union Health Minister.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that a comprehensive package would soon be provided to the State which would cater to every sector and would accelerate the pace of development in the State. “The package would cater to infrastructural, economic and other developmental needs and help the state to be back on track after the colossal damages it suffered due to the September-2014 deluge”, he maintained.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister took a review of the prestigious Bus Stand project being constructed by the Jammu Development Authority.
Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development, Bipul Pathak, Vice Chairman, JDA, Mubarak Singh, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Mandeep Kour and other officers were also present.
A detailed presentation was also made on the occasion depicting the layout plan and other related things about the prestigious Bus Stand project.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed constituting a Committee headed by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to monitor the pace of implementation of this project within the stipulated time frame.
