SRINAGAR, July 25: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal on Wednesday directed for complete switch over to bio-metric attendance by secretariat employees from 1st August. The Secretary Information Technology was asked to ensure installation of adequate bio-metric readers in the Secretariat for the purpose.
Chairing the periodic Committee of Secretaries (CoS) meeting, the Chief Secretary asked for fast tracking the compilation of Government orders issued from time to time regarding transfer of power to panchayats in the form of compendium. The compendium to be published by Rural Development Department will have English and Urdu versions.
During the meeting issues pertaining to transfer of powers to urban local bodies, service and promotion related proposals, draft skill development policy etc were discussed with concerned administrative secretaries with directions to expedite their processing.
