Compensate people whose cows died of LSD: NAUP

JAMMU, Sept 26: National Awami United Party (NAUP) president, Sandeep Singh has urged upon the government for the cure of Lumpi Skin Disease (LSD) in animals especially cows.
Addressing a press conference here today Singh said that in India people worships cow and treat her as mother.
“We are getting news of deaths of cows by LSD all over India especially in border States,” he said.
The NAUP president demanded that the government should declare LSD, a natural calamity and wave off the loan of KCC dairy and also pay compensation to the people whose cows died with LSD.
He claimed that no political party including the BJP in India has so far raised voice against LSD.
“Even PM Modi has not raised the issue in his Mann Ki Baat programme,” he maintained adding: “The Union Government should issue instructions to all the State governments to compensate the affected people.”
Manmohan Sudan, general secretary; Vijay Choudhary, provincial vice president; Parveen Kumar, Shikha Bandral Thakur, Sushma Kumari, Shashi Kansal, Indu Kumar and Harsh Bhagat were also present in the press conference.
