JAMMU, Sept 20: For effective implementation of National Rurban Mission in the State, the Government has accorded sanction for constitution of various committees.
These include District Project Management Unit (DPMU), District Planning and Monitoring Committee (DPMC), District Verification and Reporting Committee (DVRC) and Cluster Development & Management Unit (CDMU).
The DPMU, DPMC and DVRC shall be headed by the concerned District Development Commissioner while Assistant Commissioner Development shall head the CDMU.
The DPMU shall ensure adoption of framework of implementation as per timeline, coordinate with implementing agencies, SPMU and sensitize all the stake holders for ensuring their involvement at every stage.
Similarly, DPMC shall also ensure adoption of framework of implementation of the planning process as per the timeline, adopt spatial planning process and formulation of ICAP and coordinate with all the stakeholders besides finalizing ICAP of the cluster and coordinate with the DPMU and SPMU for performance monitoring.
The DVRC shall formulate monthly progress report of all the stages and activities of NRuM and sharing the same with District Project Management Unit (DPMU) and SPMU, provide regular feedback to DPMU, monitor all the process and stage of ICAP and coordinate with DPMU as well as SPMU.
The CDMU shall provide feedback for formulation of ICAP preparation, monitor the spatial planning aspects, monitor the ICAP preparation for the cluster and provide regular feedback to the DPMU as well as SPMU.
