JAMMU, Feb 3: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of a committee to look into the issues related to the land held by Army at Gulmarg, vacation of land at Tattoo ground, Batamaloo and re-notification of Tosh Maidan field firing range.
According to an order issued by General Administrative Department (GAD), Chief Secretary will be the Chairman of the committee, whereas Divisional Commissioner Kashmir will be the member secretary.
Administrative Secretary, Home Department, Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department, Administrative Secretary, Forest Department, Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department, representation of Northern Command (not below the rank of Major General to be nominated by the Army Commander) and Principal Director, Defence Estate Northern Command will be the members of the committee.
The committee shall submit the report within a period of three months and shall be serviced by the Home Department.
