SRINAGAR: Government has constituted a committee to work out an appropriate policy outlining all possible options for regularisation of causal, seasonal and need based workers in the State.
Minister for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari today informed the Council that the Government has constituted a committee to work out an appropriate policy outlining all possible options for regularisation of causal, seasonal and need based workers.
Replying on behalf of Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu to a question, the Minister said there are 61,000 casual, seasonal, need based and other categories of workers engaged by various departments across the State.
The Minister said the Government has put ban on engagement of casual labourers and the delegation of powers with the departments to engage causal laborers too stands withdrawn. (AGENCIES)
