JAMMU, Mar 1: Six day long Colors in Life exhibition by Jammu born Anuradha Rishi was held at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi from February 22 to February 27.
The former Sadar-e-Riyasat of J&K and Chairman ICCR, Dr Karan Singh was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Farooq Abdullah Union Minister of Renewable Energy and Anwar Haleem Deputy DG ICCR were the guests of honour.
The exhibition showcased the recent exhibits of Anuradha Rishi representing the three regions of J&K i.e Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Her paintings which were on display included some of her work on the Dugger Shephered community of Jammu, representing their sheer simplistic beauty and a few works from her collection on horse compositions was also on display.
The exhibition got a good response, appreciation as well as support from Dr Karan Singh, Dr Abdullah and other dignitaries.
Daughter of Pandit Sansar Chand Baru of Jammu Anuradha Rishi is a resident of Sarwal New Plots here. She got inspiration from her father who was national awardee Master of Art in Pahari folk paintings and Founder Art Curator –Dogra Art Gallery Jammu whom he terms her Guru.
She has participated in one international exhibition held in London in 2009 and many other exhibitions in the country and participated in many art camps also.
