Colorful evening marks end of KASHPEX 2023

SRINAGAR, Nov 30: KASHPEX 2023 came to an end today with colorful and enlightening cultural performances and award distribution amongst the winners of various events of KASHPEX.
The cultural event was marked by performances of Shafi Sopori, a renowned Sufi singer of Kashmir. Besides this mesmerizing musical performances and dance performances from artists depicting rich culture and folk dances of Jammu and Kashmir thrilled the audience.
A special cover on the Thiksey Monastery Leh was released by Col Vinod Kumar, Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle along with Prof (Dr) Ruby Zutshi (Principal, Institute of Music and Fine Arts, University of Kashmir). Prof Iftikhar Jaffar, Senior Instructor Music and Fine Arts was also present at the event. The KASHPEX 2023 was also marked by release of special covers on places of prominence and significant importance from Srinagar, Jammu and Leh.
Today, winners of Quiz which was held on 29-11-2023 for students from 9 schools were awarded by Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle. Moein-udin-Naqash, Mohammad Said and Ajmal from Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute bagged 1st position while as Adeeba Bilal, Zainab Ruqaya and Muhammad Haziq Jan from St Paul’s International Academy and Hadiya binti Altaf, Ambreena Khursheed and Afreen Bhat from Caset Experimental School were adjudged second and third, respectively.
Also, winners of Painting competition were awarded by Col Vinod Kumar. In Category I (Class 5th to 7th), Areeba Masoodi from GD Goenka Public School was adjudged 1st while Safa Zeeshan from same school finished 2nd. Mutaharun Eshal from Birla Open Minds International School was adjudged 3rd. In Category II (Class 8th to 10th), Aleeza Gulzar from Birla Open Minds International School was adjudged 1st while Budeer Yousuf from Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute was adjudged 2nd and Mehreen Iqbal from Legends School of Education was adjudged 3rd.
A national level jury comprising of Sahadeva Sahoo, Shakil Ahmed and Kishor Chandak evaluated the exhibits on display in the exhibition and different medals and prizes were awarded to winners.
