Colgate organizes 1st live dental webinar in Jammu

JAMMU, May 6: Colgate in collaboration with Indian Dental Association, Jammu, organized a webinar on dental implants for the faculty, house surgeons and students of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC), Jammu.
Senior faculty members of IGGDC were present during the function. This is the first time that a dental webinar has been organised in Jammu. Dr Ratnadeep Patil delivered this live webinar from Mumbai.
Dental implants have become a popular treatment option for many patients. If dentists are to be successful with this type of treatment, they must master the fundamentals of successful diagnosis and treatment planning and to be fully informed on many facets of this particular treatment alternative.
The webinar reviewed overall principles and necessary information for considering dental implants as treatment option for patients.
Dr Romesh Singh, principal IGGDC, Jammu, who was present on the occasion, said that the main objective of the webinar was to understand the need for proper diagnosis and treatment planning prior to initiating treatment with dental implants.
Dr Ritesh Gupta, president IDA, said that we will organise this kind of webinar in future also. He also thanked Dr Romesh Singh for rendering support to organise the webinar.
Dr Gautam Sharma, Dental Surgeon, University of Jammu and general secretary, Indian Dental Association, Jammu, said that the webinar has provided the orientation of surgical and prosthetic phase in implant dentistry.
He also disclosed that IDA is planning to organise seminars, awareness talk and lectures on “Tobacco De-addiction”.
