JAMMU, Jan 3: The biting cold wave today claimed life of a beggar in this winter capital of the State.
According to a police spokesperson, the dead body of an unidentified male beggar aged about 50 years, who apparently died due to cold wave, was found at about 8 this morning in front of a shop from Jewel Chowk near erstwhile Jewel Cinema Theatre.
On getting information about the body, a police team from Nowabad police station reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
A case in this regard has also been registered at Nowabad police station.
