NEW DELHI: Union Electronics and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday said coalition is not in the DNA of Congress. “What relations Congress has with others is their matter but all I can say is that coalition is not in the DNA of Congress. The only thing in their DNA is family,” Mr Prasad told reporters after the Cabinet meeting here when he was asked about BSP-Congress alliance.
Earlier in the day, BSP supremo Mayawati announced to go it alone in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan assembly polls, slated to be held later this year.
Ms Mayawati claimed that BSP has the power to change the political tide of the country and Congress was just trying to hold the party to ransom by offering a few seats in alliance. She even went to the extent of alleging that Congress was trying to finish the BSP. (AGENCIES)
