JAMMU, July 4: All J&K Sheep and Wool Workers’ Association (SWWA), Jammu has criticized Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for asking its employees to wait for two more years for implementation of 7th Pay Commission (PC) in the State.
The issue came up for discussion in a meeting of the association held here today under the chairmanship of convener of the association, Rajinder Singh Pawar and general secretary, Narinder Singh.
While referring to the Chief Minister’s statement that the financial position of the State is not sound, the speakers present in the meeting said that if the financial position of the State is not sound, then why the Government has enhanced the salaries/pensions of legislatures/ex-legislatures to almost double, which has created huge financial liabilities on the State exchequer.
The meeting appealed the CM to re-think on the issue and implement 7th PC in the State without forcing the employees to resort to any kind of struggle.
The association appealed all other departmental associations/ unions to come on one platform and get united for a joint struggle if the Government fails to implement the 7th PC report in Toto, as early as possible.
