JAMMU, Oct 13: Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Poonch, Dr Mohd Younis Choudhary has been placed under suspension following allegations of irregularities in NRHM in the district.
Official sources said that action against Dr Choudhary was taken by the Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma after the outcome of the inquiry ordered by the Government. The CMO was placed under suspension and attached with the Directorate of Health Services Jammu.
Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Madhu Khullar when contacted confirmed the action and said that CMO Poonch after suspension has been attached with the Jammu Directorate of Health Services by the Government. She said that an inquiry related to some irregularities in NRHM was conducted by the Deputy Director Health Jammu and others and after its outcome, the action was taken against the officer.
