CM trying to blame opposition for his failure: PDP

SRINAGAR, Jan 30: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said that the Chief Minister is trying to blame the opposition for his failures as he is not having a single major scheme, project or programme to his credit even in his own constituency.
This was stated by chief spokesperson of PDP Naeem Akhtar and senior leader Syed Altaf Bukhari while responding to Omar Abdullah’s statement in Ganderbal yesterday.
They said if the Chief Minister is so confident about his four year “report card” and public support, then he should not been seen as begging for an alliance.
“It is the duty of the opposition to expose the weaknesses of the Government and highlight people’s problems but the despotic and arrogant mindset of NC does not allow them to see this as a normal political activity”, they said.
Referring to recent stinkers from the GoI and Planning Commission of India (PCI) to State Government, Akhtar and Altaf Bukhari said no Government has so severely been condemned for non-performance as the present one.
They said after Omar Abdullah failed to implement his announcement made on October 21, 2011 about revocation of AFSPA’ in 2-3 days’ he has now declared it as a ‘mission’ to mislead the people. If he is sincere about his claims the Chief Minister should conduct probe into the killing of 120 people in 2010, take back cases against thousands of young men who have been framed in false cases, release the children from jail and pay compensation to them and all the victims of his four year repression, they added.
They said Omar Government has started talking of fast track recruitment only when the elections are approaching. This is clearly to benefit the favourites and buy votes for the ruling parties and make their agents rich, they added.
