CM caught on wrong foot: Dr Jitendra

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Apr 25:  BJP J&K Chief Spokesperson & National Executive Member Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that by accusing the Government of India of applying two different yardsticks in dealing with Pakistan and China , and by calling for a firm response to Chinese incursion in Daulat Baig area, the Chief Minister has inadvertently got himself caught on the wrong foot by shifting the spotlight to a different and softer yardstick applied by none other than himself and his party colleagues while referring to similar incursions, infiltrations and killings of Indian soldiers by Pakistan or its sponsoring agencies.
Dr Jitendra Singh pointed out that the ruling party has been time and again found feeling shy of using strong words against Pakistan even when its troops carried out the most heinous act of beheading the Indian soldiers and carried away the decapitated heads with them. He also reminded that people of India have not forgotten how the Chief Minister had visibly avoided paying floral homage to CRPF Jawans ambushed and killed recently in Srinagar by Pak sponsored militants.
Taking a dig ,Dr Jitendra Singh said China does not have any friends in Kashmir Valley and hence, Chief Minister and his colleagues feel emboldened to score a point by speaking against it in strong terms but when it comes to Pakistan, their response is invariably apologetic and they use  vague expressions to advocate “dialogue”,”long term solution” etc. Is this because the ruling party leadership is careful not to antagonize the “sympathisers” of Pakistan in Kashmir Valley who form a part of the party’s Kashmir-centric Constituency, he asked?
Dr Jitendra Singh appealed to the ruling party leadership to be statesmanly in its approach and avoid the temptation of playing politics in matters concerning India’s security.
