Cluster University of Jammu defers terminal examinations

JAMMU, June 17: In view of COVID-19 pandemic, the Cluster University of Jammu has announced that all terminal examination of sixth semester-UG/UG Hons /PGI and 4th Sem PG/ B Ed/ M Ed Programmes commencing from July 2020, shall be deferred till further order.
Decision in this regard was taken during an urgent meeting of all Cluster Officials-Registrar, Controller Examination, Principals and Deans of Constituent Colleges and PGI Schools of the Cluster University, in the office of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Anju Bhasin.
Keeping in view, the rapid spread of COVID-19 pandemic, and the Advisory of Disaster Management, the house deliberated that in the prevailing critical situation, it is not possible to conduct examination and risk the lives of the young learners.
The forum decided that all terminal examination of sixth semester-UG/UG Hons /PGI and 4th Sem PG/ B Ed/ M Ed Programmes commencing from July 2020 be deferred and a notification of the same is made evident on the university website. Any further decision in this regard shall be taken after review of the situation in the interest of the student community and also in sync with the guidelines received from the UGC which shall be notified on the university website. Till then, students were advised to stay home and safe; also adhere to the social distancing norms and visit the website regularly for any further update.
