SRINAGAR, July 29: A cloudburst hit Gulistan forests area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district triggering flash flood in a local stream.
The cloudburst occurred today morning and triggered flash flood in Gulistan nallah resulting in washing away of three to four bridges. The flash flood also damaged several water pipes and electricity poles in the area.
There was, however, no loss of life due to the cloudburst. The cloudbursts, from past one month, have been occurring regularly across the valley claiming nearly a dozen lives.
