Clerical staff threatens hunger strike for detachment of teaching staff

DHAMPUR, Mar 7: Clerical Staff Association, Udhampur, has threatened a hunger strike from March 12 if the teaching staff attached in the offices of ZEOs’ and other institutions is not detached by then.
This was informed by Mool Raj, leader of the Association, who said that a memorandum seeking immediate detachment of the teaching staff performing clerical work in different offices was already submitted to the Chief Education Officer Udhampur, Daljit Singh, last month.
Even as the CEO also ordered immediate detachment of the teaching staff from ZEOs office and GHSS, HS vide circular number CEOU/E-3/46903-47023, dated 11-2-2019, the order was not implement till date, he added and reiterated that if detachments are not affected by March 11, the Clerical Association would go on hunger strike from March 12.
