Clerical staff observes pen down strike for removal of pay anomaly

JAMMU, May 22: On first day of two-day pen down/Kaam Chorh Hartal, on the call of Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, the clerical cadre of J&K State Government suspended work across the State.
In all the Districts Headquarter of Jammu province, the clerical cadre from different departments held demonstrations in protest against non-implementation of Pay Anomaly Committee Report, constituted vide order No.67-GAD of 2012 dated. 16.01.2012 regarding removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre of 5th Pay Commission.
At Jammu city, while addressing the demonstrations at different offices complexes, . speakers condemned alleged callous attitude of the State Government  towards the clerical cadre  with regard to just and genuine demand, which stands already agreed by the State Government vide various agreements carried out between Association and the Cabinet sub-committee.
They appealed the State Government  to implement the principally agreed demands  for removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre by granting the pay scale of Rs  4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, Rs 4500-7000 to Senior Assistant,  and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant   Notionally from 01-01-1996 and monetary from 19-02-2003 as has been granted in favour of other cadres.
“Now again the State Government vide Govt. Order No. 420-GAD of 2016 dated 21.01.2016 constituted another Pay Anomaly Committee which is just another attempt to befool the Clerical Cadre. The State Government is hoodwinking the clerical cadre by giving false assurances and compelling the Clerical Cadre to come on the road once again,” they said.
Those who addressed the protest demonstrations, included  Ravi Singh Bhau,  S  Sukhbir Singh, Ravi Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Umar Jan, Ajeet Singh, Vijay Thusoo, S Harvinder Singh, Sourab Bali, Rajesh Koul, Tilak Raj, Umesh Gupta,  Ashish  Sharma, Bashir Malik , Javed Iqbal, Gurmeet Singh, Hamid Husain, Ram Dass Thapa, J  R  Sagar, Kirpal Singh, Brijesh Mehta, Mohan Lal,   Onkar Verma, Vikas Gupta, Ranbir Singh , Swarn Singh, Romesh Chander, Parkash Singh, , Ashish Bhandari, Madam Sarita Wadhera, Romesh Singh Bhau, Avtar Krishan,  Yash Paul Sharma, S  Rajinder Singh ,  Anil Kesar, Ghulam Sabar, Vishaw Bandu and Sudesh Kumari.
In  Kashmir,  the clerical cadre  observed complete Lock Out Hartal and held demonstrations, which were addressed by Mohd Sultan, Malik Mohd Farooq, Jeelani Niak and Farhat Trali. They warned the State Govt. that the clerical cadre has already observed more  than120 days Pen Down strike  and will resume  the same if anomalies of clerical cadre are not removed at an earliest.
At District Headquarters, . Manohar Singh and Surinder Mehta addressed protest demonstration at  Kathua,  Balbir Singh and Gurjeet Singh at Udhampur,  Ragunath and  Rajesh Ajnabi at Reasi,   Ajay Kumar, Anil Mehta and  Gulzar Singh at Samba,  Rajinder Singh and Ravinder Singh at Poonch, Rattan Lal and  Kuldeep Kotwal at Rajouri, Mohd. Akhter Malik, Mohd Aslam and  Arshad Ahmed at Ramban,  Aijaz Ahmed Giri and  Rakesh Kumar at Kishtwar, Inyatullah and  Balvinder Singh  at Doda.
