JAMMU, May 19: On the call of Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, the clerical cadre of J&K State Government today observed complete one-day pen down, Kaam Chhoro Hartal across the State.
In all the districts headquarter of Jammu province, the clerical cadre from different departments assembled and held protest demonstrations demanding implementation of Pay Anomaly Committee Report, constituted vide order No.67-GAD of 2012 dated. 16-01-2012 regarding removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre of 5th Pay Commission.
At Jammu city, the demonstrations at different office complexes, were addressed by Ravi Singh Bhau, Anil Mehta, S Sukhbir Singh, Ravi Kumar, Bashir Malik , R P Sharma, Hamid Husain Ram Dass Thapa, J R. Sagar, Kirpal Singh, Brijesh Mehta, Mohan Lal ,Onkar Chand, Vikas Gupta, Ranbir Singh , Parkash Singh , Ashish Bhandari, Madam Sarita Wadhera and others.
They appealed the State Government to implement the principally agreed demands for removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre (of 5th Pay Commission) by granting the pay scale of Rs 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, Rs.4500-7000 to Senior Assistant, and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant, notionally with effect from 01-01-1996 and monetary with effect from 19-02-2003.
In the Directorate of Health Services complex, all the members of clerical staff of the Health Department assembled and held a protest demonstration. They raised slogans demanding removal of the pay anomalies with immediate effect, creation of the post of Section Officers / Head Assistants, DPC of the cadre, rectification of seniority list of Senior Assistants, proper mechanism or deputation of Senior Assistants to IMPA for Secretariat Assistant Course and preparing of personal files of non-gazetted employees at par with gazetted employees.
While addressing the gathering, Mohd Saleem, Darshan Khajuria and Prathma Devi stressed upon the Government to concede the long pending demands of the Clerical cadre. Sushi Sudan, president Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, in his address, promised to give his full support, in any struggle initiated by the clerical cadre of Health Department.
Others who addressed the gathering, included Vishal Sharma, Sandeep Wadhera, Amarjeet, Anil Kumar, Asha Devi, Surinder Kumar Bakshi and Urmil Ganjoo .
The protest demonstrations at district headquarters were led by Manohar Singh and Gulam Sabhar at Kathua, Balbir Singh at Udhampur, Ragunath and Rajesh Ajnabi at Reasi, Ajay Kumar and Veena Chowdhary at Samba, Rajinder Singh and Ravinder Singh at Poonch, Rattan Lal and Kuldeep Kotwal at Rajouri, Mohd. Akhter Malik, Mohd Aslam and Arshad Ahmed at Ramban, Mansoor Ahmed at Kishtwar and , Inyatullah at Doda.
At Kashmir, the clerical cadre observed complete Tala-Bandi Hartal, which was addressed by Mohd Sultan, Malik Mohd Farooq, Jeelani Niak and Farhat Trali.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has decided to hold apex body meeting on June 5 for deciding further course of action.
