Clerical cadre employees to observe 2-day strike

JAMMU, Nov 15: Clerical cadre employees of different State Government departments are going on two day pen down strike on November 16 and 17.
On the call given by Jammu, Kashmir Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, the clerical cadre employees of various departments have decided to observe two day strike from tomorrow. With the strike of the employees, the functioning in various Government departments and PSUs will be affected.
Senior Trade Union leaders Babu Hussain Malik, Bharat Bhushan , Farida Bano, Javed Akhoon, Meenakshi Sharma, Seva Ram Rathore and others have appealed to the employees to get united and come out for their common cause and observe complete strike. They said that on November 17, a strong protest demonstration and rally will be held at Press Club at 11 AM onwards.
The agitating employees are demanding removal of pay anomalies in clerical cadre, re-organisation of clerical cadre, conduct of DPC of the cadre, enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month in favour of employees and pensioners and implementation of 7th Pay Commission report in the State.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir State Motor Garages Clerical Employees Association led by Vipan Bangroo, Jammu Development Authority Employees Association led by Ashok Singh, All J&K Irrigation and Flood Control Clerical Employees Association led by Kapil Gupta and Ministerial Staff Association of GMC and Associated Hospitals led by Arun Kumar Sharma and Sushil Kumar (gen secy) extended full support to the strike of clerical cadre employees on November 16 and 17.
