JAMMU, May 5: A Province level monthly meeting of the Class IV employees of Education Department was held under the chairmanship of Dev Raj Sharma here today, wherein various burning issues were discussed at length.
The meeting urged the concerned authorities to grant promotion to Class IV employees who have completed 15 years of service in the department.
The meeting was attended by a large number of Class IV employees from Jammu Province.
Addressing the meeting, Sharma took strong notice of the negligent attitude of the Education Department, as no heed is being paid by any authorities towards the redressal of the grievances of Class IV employees.
He urged upon the Minister for Education for redressal of woes of Class IV employees at the earliest possible time as he alleged that the poor employees had already suffered a lot because of non- promotion since last about six years.
The concern was also expressed on the fact that no proper and effective DPC has been convened after 2010. Even no promotion list has been released as an outcome of that DPC, the speakers said.
The meeting requested the concerned authorities to grant promotion to the Class IV employees who have completed at least 15 years of services in Education Department so that they may not feel underprivileged or neglected.
