JAMMU, June 4: A class 11th student allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
As per police sources, a class 11th student namely Kusum Lata, daughter of Satish Kumar of Dhaloa, Bhaderwah consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Finding her unconscious, family members rushed her to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah but she died on the way to hospital.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
A case under Section 174 CrPC has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
Police sources told that the girl was caught along with a mobile phone in the school premises and was harassed by some of the faculty members. This might be the reason behind but could be ascertained after investigation completes.
