This pertains to the notification from JKSSB that has been issued under No. SSB/Secy/Sel/2015/178397 dated 31-12-15 for the candidates to come up with requisite certificates for interviews wherein under column III, the contents are reproduced as under-
“In case of District Cadre Posts, candidates are required to have Certificates that they are residing in that District from the last 15 years as on the cut-off date of filling of application form.”
In this regard, it is not clarified that who is the authority to issue such certificates. Further, it is brought to the notice of SSB authorities that hundreds of candidates are roaming for issuance of residence certificates from the revenue authorities who are not issuing such certificates inspite of having various proofs of present residence like Adhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID Card, Ration Card, etc. As such the SSB authorities should come with clear position and take up measures to verify at its own the present residence in addition to PRC with the following documents i.e. Adhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID Card, Ration Card, or any such relevant documents.
