Srinagar, Feb 5: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar has directed the police to initiate investigation into alleged bogus voting in Khanyar constituency.
PDP’s candidate from Khanyar Mohammad Khurshid Alam submitted petition before the CJM, submitting that the bogus voters were used to cast their votes during the last years assembly polls.
The CJM directed SHO Police Station Khanyar to register an FIR if there is any cognizable offence.
Alam was defeated by former minister and NC general secretary, Ali Mohammad Sagar from Khanyar Assembly segment.
