CJM denies bail to Asst Supt in paper leak scam

JAMMU, Mar 14: Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu, S C Katal today rejected the bail application of Assistant Superintendent Raman Kumar, son of Om Parkash of RS Pura, who was allegedly involved in 12th class paper scam.
According to the police case, the applicant was appointed as Assistant Superintendent for conducting the exmaination of 12th Class examination in Center No. 264 at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, RS Pura. The applicant in connivance with other Govt officials committed the criminal breach of trust and leaked the physics paper of Higher Secondary Part-II before the scheduled date.
After going through the arguments of both the sides, CJM observed that the accused has set an example that fence has eaten grass and he has adopted dangerous modus-operandi to collect the money and the act has potential to damage the fabric of society. “His act has created unrest amongst the students community who are future of this country”, the CJM added.
With these observations, Court rejected the bail application.
