It seems that a crude device might have been used to trigger the blast. The device went off as soon as Raj Kumar opened door of his car, which indicated that wire of the device might have been connected with the car door.
The car had been parked at Mini Bus Stand here overnight.
Police said the injured had worked as SPO between 2005 to 2008 at Thakrai police post during which he was injured in an attack by the militants. After the attack, he had left the job. Later, he was elected as Panch and also served as Naib Sarpanch. Presently, he was working as contractor on the name of his wife and also as an RTI activist.
