Sir,
Jammu city, the city of temples, have earned a new sobriquet as the city of traffic jams. Unprecedented rush of vehicles has created a challenging and alarming situation in the city. The traffic authorities have so for failed to negotiate with the said problem.
Janipur road, Akhnoor road and Talab Tillo roads are the worst hit. It is very difficult to pass through these roads (route) during peak hours.
Valuable time of students and employees go waste due to traffic hazards. Due to the fear of traffic jams general public prefer to remain indoors.
The following measures need to be taken on war footing to streamline the traffic in the city to give respite to the common people.
Traffic Department needs to increase the strength of traffic personnel to manage the traffic affairs in the city efficiently. Proposed flyovers in Jammu city to be taken in hand without any further delay. People need to abide by the traffic rules and sincerely co-operate with traffic officials.
Yours etc…
