JAMMU, July 29: Citizens’ Forum has alleged that several major projects of Jammu were being avoided to be included in priorities of the State Government.
“Permanent water arrangement through Chenab water supply scheme for Jammu city is one such project which has been denied so far for the reasons best known to those at the helm of affairs while Tawi Lake Project has also been abandoned with no apparent intentions to revive the same,” said the Forum president R K Chadda in a statement.
Stressing the need for revival of these major projects, he demanded completion of Jammu Tourism Plan and establishing a Satellite Township around Patnitop by national or international agencies in the business. “We are not against the local project managers but in order to get the best out of best infrastructure and design, we want involvement of outside agencies, he added.
