JAMMU, Sept 22: Citizen’s Forum has invited the attention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha towards the worst medical condition of GMC Jammu.
RK Chadha, President of the Forum said that last year in the beginning of the COVID threat, the Forum had written a letter to former LG G C Murmu that the medical staff, doctors and paramedics, who are retiring should be given one years extension to continue to meet the shortage of doctors and paramedics as was done by Punjab Government.
“Our suggestion was considered but interference to adjust blue eyed doctors at higher places was the reason behind the devastation of GMC Jammu”, he added.
Chadha said he had written a letter to LG Manoj Sinha on the first day of his arrival in UT requesting that political interference has spoiled development and working of Jammu Administration.
“We don’t have hospitals to meet the Coronavirus threat. Rs 5 lakh insurance for 20 lakh families is too small amount for big hospitals. To cure minor ailment, lakhs of rupees get spent. We need a big paid hospital run by the Government like Chopra Nursing Home”, he added.
