JAMMU, Feb 5: In continuation of its human endeavor and to bring about health awareness to the people in the region, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a mega health checkup camp in collaboration with Sachdeva Netralaya, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Sahyog India.
The all-important event at Baspur Bunglow, RS Pura was inaugurated by Param Vir Chakra, Capt Bana Singh, Padma Shri, SP Verma, Rahul Sahai, Chairman, CII J&K State Council, Dr Sanjay Sachdeva, Eye Surgeon, Vicky Mahajan, Ex-Chairman CII, Anjali Sharma, Director, All India Radio, Jammu and Dr DR Kapoor, Chairman Sahyog India and attended by Thakur Jagdev Singh, Sarpanch Jasbir Singh and many others.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming participation from people of RS Pura. More than 250 patients were examined and screened up by a team of doctors headed by Dr Sanjay Sachdeva, MS Eye (Opthalmologist) and CEO of Sachdeva Netralaya. Other doctors of the team were Dr Sodhi and Dr Himsy Bhat, besides five members of technical staff. Free medicines were also distributed among the needy patients.
“CII over the decades has been committed to build competitiveness through cooperation and innovations, creating collaborations across the cross sections of the industry and provide a platform to inspire the entire industry to sustain the economic, environmental and societal growth. We at CII also believe that industry and society need to synergize together to create a well-defined infrastructure to enable human development”, said Rahul Sahai.
Dr Sanjay Sachdeva said, “With this camp, the holding of such medical camps in remotest area will be a permanent project of the CII and many more such camps will be organized in far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed the general public to refer any cornea blind person to him for free cornea replacement.
