JAMMU, Oct 13: With the objective to foster business opportunities, bring in investments and work in the sphere of research and development jointly for the benefit of both the countries, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a Business delegation to Czech Republic from October 9 to 12, 2017.
Rahul Sahai, Chairman CII J&K Council was also part of this delegation. The business delegation comprised of representatives from all the key specialist sectors of engineering and business industry. Sahai in his interactions with the officials and industrialists from Czech Republic explored and discussed the possibilities to bring in prospective trade and investment in the Jammu and Kashmir state keeping in view the strength of the state.
Czech Republic is known for its automotive, defense, engineering and manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, medical technology and devices, food processing, mining, power, waste management and water treatment and India can develop strong economic ties with them in all the above mentioned sectors and can also work together in research and development initiatives, Sahai said.
With the objective to discuss various possibilities of business with the Czech Republic, CII Business delegation met Drahomir Stos, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Czechoslovakia Republic. Rahul Sahai also apprised the Minister about the interests of J&K entrepreneurs in Czech and discussed ease of doing business in Czech and requested to extend technology support to Jammu and Kashmir under Smart Cities Project.
As a part of scheduled programs the delegation also participated in the “International Engineering Fair (MSV)”, which is the leading industrial trade fair in Central Europe with annual participation of 1500 exhibitors and 75000 visitors from over 59 countries across the world.
