JAMMU, Dec 11: Senior People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and candidate for Jammu East constituency, Bharat Chowdhary, while carrying on his door to door campaign in at Old Hospital Road, Kachi Chawni, Jewel Chowk and Talab Khatikan, promised the people that he will usher a new era of development in the constituency.
Many prominent citizens especially youth of the area joined him in his campaign and expressed total dissatisfaction and disenchantment with sitting BJP MLA as well as Congress Government over their total failure in resolving their long pending issues of sanitation, regular water supply, frequent breakdown of power cables and transformers, lack of facilities for the senior citizens, etc.
People said that it is over six years that they are seeing underground sewerage being constructed in the city. While the people have been suffering immensely because of this, the only people who have benefited seem to be corrupt contractors or their political bosses who have looted the State for the last 12 years. Now the same very leaders are out to once again dupe innocent voters in the name of development.
Later on Bharat Chowdhary along with various senior leaders addressed large public gathering at Super Bazar where he promised to take care of the people’s grievances. At the same time he asked the voters not to be be-fooled by false promises of development by ruling party leaders, as nothing can be expected from the party which has not done anything since last sixty years.
