Cholamandalam Financial posts Q2 PAT at Rs 325.15 cr

Chennai, Nov 9 : Cholamandalam Financial HoldingsLtd, formerly TI Financial Holdings Ltd, has clockedconsolidated profit after tax at Rs 325.15 crore for thequarter ending September 30, 2019. The city-based Murugappa Group company had recorded aconsolidated profit after tax at Rs 324.53 crore duringcorresponding quarter of previous year. For the six-month period ending September 30, 2019consolidated profits after tax grew to Rs 655.17 crore fromRs 638.57 crore registered year ago. Total income for the quarter under review surged toRs 3,340.64 crore from Rs 2,614.66 crore registered sameperiod year ago. For the half year ending September 30, 2019 totalincome went up to Rs 6,463.31 crore as against Rs 5,090.26crore registered same period last year. In a statement the company said it disbursed Rs 15,954crore for the half year ending September 30, 2019 as comparedto Rs 13,913 crore in same period of last financial year. The disbursement for the quarter under review was atRs 7,381 crore as against Rs 6,899 crore recorded same periodlast financial year. Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company, asubsidiary of general insurance business, registered a grosswritten premium of Rs 2,388 crore for the half year endingSeptember 30, 2019 as against Rs 2,054 crore in same period oflast fiscal. For the quarter ending September 30, 2019 GWP was atRs 1,192 crore as against Rs 1,103 crore registered sameperiod year ago. Cholamandalam MS Risk Services Ltd, a joint venturecompany registered a revenue of Rs 12 crore for the quarterending September 30, 2019 as against Rs 10 crore in sameperiod of last financial year. For the half year ending September 30, 2019Cholamandalam MS Risk Services clocked revenues of Rs 20 croreas against Rs 17 crore in same quarter of previous year. PTIVIJSS

Lakshmi Vilas Bank Q2 net loss widens Chennai, Nov 9 (PTI): Private sector Lakshmi Vilas Bank onSaturday reported a net loss at Rs 357.17 crore for thequarter ending September 30, 2019. The Tamil Nadu based bank had clocked net loss atRs 132.30 crore during the year ago period. For the six month period ending September 30, net loss wasat Rs 594.42 crore as against Rs 256.17 crore in the sameperiod last year. Total income for the July-September quarter was atRs 665.33 crore as against Rs 800.50 crore, the bank said in apress release. For the half year period ending September 30, totalincome was at Rs 1,342.50 crore as against Rs 1,588.00 crorein the year ago period. PTI
