Chilli, turmeric fall on muted demand

NEW DELHI, Mar 17: Chilli and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale kirana market in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks position.
Chilli and turmeric prices drifted lower by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 6,000-14,500 and Rs 7,700-10,800 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said muted demand from retailers and stockists against increased arrivals from producing regions, mainly pulled down chilli and turmeric prices.
