Chilli, jeera weaken on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, June 3: Red chilli and jeera prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on easing demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks on increased arrivals from producing belts.
Red chilli prices drifted lower by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 4,100-12,300 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 18,700-18,800 and Rs 21,100-21,600 per quintal.
Marketmen said a weak trend at the domestic spot markets due to low demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stocks, mainly pulled down chilli and jeera prices.
